Anger Management Training Seminar
Anger is a normal, healthy human emotion that serves its purpose for most of us. It often gets a bad rap, however, it is not necessarily a bad thing. Anger serves as a signal that something is wrong. It motivates us to act in our own self-defense or in the defense of others and spurs us to make positive changes and help to set right injustices we have seen or felt. So why do we have to manage that anger if it does all these positive things for us? Unfortunately, anger can be a powerful destructive force if we do not know how to manage it. Uncontrolled, anger can have a negative impact in our lives and in the lives of others. This course will help the participant understand their triggers and help to provide helpful tools that can get them back in control so that they can deal with the problem that they are facing, rather than the emotion that is making them unable to take positive actions in improving their lives.
Anger is also a deep emotion that covers many of the soft feelings most of us would rather avoid. These “soft” emotions are sadness, pain, hurt, disappointment, worry, and fear. Those who suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder or PTSD often express rage and uncontrolled anger at their situations. The anger prevents them from dealing with the soft feelings that are often at the root of their anger. This disorder is often connected to military personnel, however, it is a disorder that is experienced by many who as the title notes, have experienced a traumatic experience and the survival of the experience is now causing side effects such as the Post Traumatic Stress.
The seminar, therefore, provides an array of situations and information that will provide the participants with the tools needed to be in control of the anger, rather than be controlled by the anger. The course topics will include:
- Post Traumatic Stress Disorder symptoms and signs
- Addressing Anger and irritability
- Understanding anger’s negative and positive side
- Types of Anger
- Soft vs. Hard emotions
- Gender specific reactions
- Understanding why anger lasts
- Anger Triggers
- Physical Awareness of anger
- Strategies to handling anger
- Anger Styles

At course completion, a certificate of completion will be provided along with a copy for your records. The certificate can also be sent by email to the party (if applicable) that has required you complete this training seminar.
